Hello World

Hello World

When learning a computer language, the first step one always takes toward literacy in that language is learning to write the famous 'Hello World' program. It is simply a few lines of code that cause the program to display "Hello World." When learning a second spoken language the first thing I have always learned was how to introduce myself.

Hello, my name is Michael.

This is my first serious foray into the world of blogging. I have always enjoyed writing and I am very excited to start publishing my thoughts and ideas on the web for all who care to see to read. So you might care to know a few things about the author before you decide to care. I am a sailor in the United States Navy. I currently am studying to become a Nuclear Operator. Prior to my military service I studied computer science at the University of Pittsburgh where I became a ghost. From punk rocker to military man, I have managed to span an interesting and wide range of social interactions that I believe give me a wide view of American society as a whole.

Here in this blog I intend to discuss anything that strikes me as interesting and worthy of discussion from politics, to the arts, to military life. I promise to you that I will do my very best to keep from posting drivel here. My goal in creating content for this blog is to give my mind a work out everyday to enhance my own mental abilities and world view.

Well, here's to new beginnings and fitting ends. Please enjoy!
